And finally came 2007! It’s interesting to think that the first album will surely be released this year. Somehow, it’s impossible to say exactly when but… It all depends on me more than ever!
So today was the day of “Trample On Me”. The more I work on this song, the more I think that it will be available for download on the website and Myspace. Probably because it’s one of my favourite songs of the five ones (If I can say that) and also because it’s a very good reflection of the LP. 9 minutes long, three main parts with different atmospheres, it’s to say, the rock part, the atmospheric break and then, the more epic end. I’m quite satisfied with the ideas of the drum parts for this song. It seems to match very well with the guitar leads. So I work on this parts today, the drum ones, to find new ideas of course and also to rehearsal before recording. I also spent some time to find a better bass sound and I really enjoy it! My faithful Baphomet straight into my Joemeek preamp, no EQ and no comp. I work on the shape of the sound later with some plugins, mainly a vintage comp plugin and EQ.
So, where are we now? Most of all the keyboard parts are recorded, acoustic guitar ones as well. Some electric tracks have been recorded just to have an idea of what happens when I’ll record the drums. And now, it’s all wait for! When all the drum tracks will be recorded, all the rest will flow as says the song. And it will be a real pleasure to work on the electric layers as you may guess.
