Spleen Arcana - Keyboards recordingSpleen Arcana - Keyboards recordingSpleen Arcana - Keyboards recording

So time has come to record again some parts for the first Spleen Arcana’s album. This week I spent some times to record some keyboard parts, the most important layers of them. Solo parts will come later, when the drums will be recorded (I’m still waiting for my Istanbul crash. I should receive it around the 15 of december).

Anyway, some parts have definately been catched forever on the hard drive. A lot of B3 hammond chords actually, some mellotron here and there (with a new way to record it through my Emu Vintage Keys, no more digital clip fortunately!), as well as some piano and wurlitzer melodies.

I plan for this week to record all the mellotron parts, the easiest to record by the way, and also the hammond ones, not the most easier indeed, it’s wild!

All in all, some songs are nearly done in a keyboardist view, I think about “Tears Are Made To Flow”, which is the easiest to record but I guess it will need many more times to record the drums.

To be continued…
