I will – digital download. I was not overly enthusiastic about “The Field…” but I sense potential and I’m looking forward to see what will be on the second one.

Thanks Alias! I understand, I think your review was really motivating anyway ;) I work on “less spleen and more arcana” ;)

Digital only buy. First album didn’t really cut it for me but it certainly was good enough to get the second album. And well even when it’s just 1 sale it’s still hopefully giving you guys some appriciation back for the hard work 8)

@Ginfress : Thank you for your interest! I hope you’ll enjoy the second album more than the first one ;)
And you’re right, your support is absolutely helpful! If every interested listener thought like you, a lot of independant artists could live of their music ;)

Well, although I really like your music and expect your second album to be amazing, I admit that I will not buy neither the CD nor the digital version.
I don’t buy an original CD since I was like 15 years old, and I’m not proud of it though!
But things are hard this days, not only for artists, who I would love to support (if I could) but for everyone, and at least in my country a CD costs a lot of money and personally I prefer having my music on a hard drive, so that I can play it in my computer without the anoying noise of the CD driver playing it.
Of course, I could buy digital versions, but I’m not very into the paypal thing, I guess I haven’t dedicated enough time to realize how it works. Shame on me I guess…
I’m sorry that me opinion is not “pretty” but I prefer to be honest about things.
What I’m thinking of buying is a Spleen Arcana t-shirt, I find them very beautifull.

@Bathory : This is interesting and it’s easy to guess that you’re not the only one in this case. It’s one of the huge question : Should music be free for all? How can modern artists make a living of their music?
Anyway, I’m sure there are different ways to support independant music ;)

As Bathory says, he is thinking of buying a Spleen Arcana t-shirt. My wife and i collect posters from artists (some with autographs and some without), checked the store and unfortunatly non are there. Of course i have no idea how much producing those would cost but it could be an idea for independant artists to look further into merchandise?

Anaon, I don’t think that music should be free to everyone, I think that it’s good that we can choose to buy or not CD’s. After all, before illegal downloads existed, people were forced to buy CD’s, even when they only liked one song or two. I believe it’s good that we can download a few songs and if we like what we heard we still can buy the album. Besides, most websites where we can download have something like this writen “if you like the album please buy it, support artists”.
And I agree with Ginfress, maybe merchandise is the new way for independent astists to survive, I mean, when people enjoy a band and that band has a great artwork or a unique logo, they usually look for t-shirts and for signed stuff, so I definently think that would be a good investment!

Well, touring and merchandising are the two big options for modern indie artists to survive as we can read here and there but I wonder if it’s good for music overall.
It’s very interesting to know opinions about all this from Spleen Arcana’s listeners. Maybe I should release more merchandising than manufacture cds :D
Anyway, I have two huge posters of the first album artwork in the corner of the studio here. I should add them somewhere…
