Still a lot of music to start 2010 in the best possible way! So as you can see, Transatlantic’s new album is still on “heavy rotation” here! Sure it’s maybe not as good as the first two albums but it’s still my favourite 2009 album and a great epic progressive rock opus. Crises by Mike Oldfield… I didn’t like it in the past… Not really but somehow, I learnt to like it and now I can say that “Crises” is one of my favourite epics from Mr Oldfield. Elegant Gypsy by Al Di Meola is one of my favourite album at the moment, the guitar work is really awesome! I came back to The Incident by Porcupine Tree and I like it better than before, when I bought it. And there’s always some great classics like Pink Floyd’s albums…
As always, feel free to share your playlist…

This month what’s on my MP3 player is:
Porcupine Tree – the incident (specially time flies, it’s a fantastic music)
Blackfield – both albuns, for who doesn’t know this band, it’s a Steven Wilson’s project, it’s amazing!! I totally recomend it!
Swallow the Sun – new moon
Marillion – less is more
Diablo Swing Orchestra – sing along songs for the damned and the delirious
That’s it for January!

Great music Bathory!!
But I’ve been a bit disappointed by Less Is More… Well, I’m not really into acoustic albums I admit.

Thank you Anaon!
I’m not exactly a fan of acoustic but sometimes it helps you to relax. A little bit of every type of music is needed, I think.

Oh yes, I think I’d rather say that I don’t like acoustic versions of songs which already exist by a band. I love so much the original versions :)

I must agree with that.
For example, the acoustic version of some Anathema songs doens’t sound right. I think that the original music has so much more energy!
